Nature and Forest Therapy

Come on a walk with me!

Slow down and reconnect.

To nature.

To others.

To yourself.

HOW DOES A FORESTBATHING WALK WORK?

Forest Bathing is a literal translation from Shinrin Yoku, a Japanese practise which has been scientifically proved to have tremendous effects on our physical, mental and emotional well-being. It is being prescribed in Japan by physicians for people facing challenges like anxiety, depression but also physical conditions. Forest and Nature Therapy is inspired in Forest Bathing and will reconnect you with your senses, your body and heart through guided meditations on our joint walk through nature. It is as well about developing and restoring meaningful relationships with your true sense of self and your purpose. It is a guided practise you can do on your own or with a group. If you book an in-person walk, there might be others joining in. I find that a group walk has its special beauty as we can share our experiences mutually and find deeper connection. After all, we, humans, are nature as well!

Frequently Asked Questions

I gathered the answers to some popular questions below. If you can’t find your question below feel free to contact us, and I´d be happy to help.

How difficult is your trail?

As this is not a hike, the difficulty is minimum. As it is all about slowing down and gathering for guided meditations in between, the distance we´ll be walking maximum is 500 meters to 1km. So, really, anybody can join the in-person walk.

I have never meditated before…

This is not important. What we call guided meditations is just to allow us to drop into feeling into our senses and open for new experiences.

And if it is raining?

We are doing the walk even if it is raining, please bring your rain coat. In case of severe climate conditions, we will have to cancel or pospone the walk. You´ll be notified.

What equipment do I have to bring to the in-person walk?

Please do wear comfortable clothing according to weather conditions, good foot-ware, bring sun-screen and anti-mosquito spray in summer time.

Do I have to hug a tree?

Everything along this walk is an invitation; the ultimate objective for you to open your senses to what is surrounding you (and inside). Some might feel called to smell a flower, touch a tree or even embrace it. YOU just do what feels right to you. Again, there is no right or wrong in doing forest bathing. Like there are people who sing in the shower… You do not have to if you do not feel like it!

Can I book for a group?

Yes, of course. Once you reserved a spot, you will have to place your payment on the booking page where you will have to indicate how many people are coming. There is a one-time fee for groups starting from 4 people for 130 Euros/2 hour walk.

Do you also guide in other places?

You can get in touch with me directly if you would like to book my services for a retreat or a forest bathing walk somewhere else.

Is there documented research on the healing effects of nature?

Yes! You can access all the studies here.
